Is a Diploma Holder in Participatory Community Based De-velopment Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation. He has Organized and facilitated Development Training at community, County, National, Regional and International Levels within Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Oklahoma USA, and the Philippines.

He has conducted poverty-related activities in Kwale County with the Kwale Rural Support Programme of Aga Khan Foundation and has volunteered with Ilishe Trust in project design activities.
Daniel Elvis Mwayaya worked with COBADES (Community Based Development Services) as a Trainer and Co-ordinator for a Public Legal and Human rights pro-gram for over 10 years and is now retired.

He has Initiated Community-Based Organizations in Kilifi such as Kolongoni Asali Ni Mali CBO. He is also the BOM chairperson of various Primary/Secondary Schools in Kilifi County.
He is currently a Board Member of Ilishe Trust and Founder.
